ERP Transition Architecture & Roadmap
INDEPENDENT ERP SOLUTION ARCHITECTURE
Before implementation begins, define what you are building and how the business will get there.
ERP platform selection is not a completed solution design. A complex project needs coherent functional architecture, scope, integrations, data principles, responsibilities and transition strategy. We design target ERP solutions and practical implementation roadmaps.
Good ERP architecture starts with business operations, not a list of modules.
Two businesses may use the same ERP and require very different solutions because of their processes, accounting, manufacturing, logistics and integrations. Feature-only design misses dependencies; copying every legacy customization creates unnecessary complexity. Our goal is business fit without avoidable complexity.
When This Service Is Relevant
You have decided to implement or replace ERP
The target solution, functional scope and delivery approach are unclear.
The platform is selected, but the architecture is not
Standard features, justified customizations and integrations require definition.
You are preparing a tender or selecting a partner
An independent baseline supports comparable proposals and clear scope.
Several interconnected business areas are involved
Manufacturing, inventory, sales, procurement and finance must work together.
Leadership wants greater certainty before substantial investment
Stages, dependencies, risks and resource needs should be understood.
What We Design
01 / Target Functional Architecture
Major processes and functional domains, interactions and system boundaries.
02 / Platform, Configuration and Standard Functionality
Platform alternatives if required; effective use of the chosen solution; justified customization.
03 / Accounting Models and Core Data
Principles for accounting domains, analytics, master data and dependencies.
04 / Integration Architecture
Systems, business purposes, data flows and responsibilities for integrity.
05 / Migration Strategy
Required data, validation, dependencies and transition scenarios.
06 / Delivery Structure
Stages, critical decisions, competencies and responsibility allocation.
07 / Production Transition Roadmap
Testing, readiness, cutover and post-go-live stabilization.
What You Receive
Target architecture and project scope.
Standard functionality and customization decisions.
Conceptual data and integration models.
Migration principles and scenarios.
Staged implementation roadmap and dependencies.
Responsibility matrix, key risks and decisions.
Preliminary resources, timeline and budget assumptions or estimation approach.
The deliverables support tenders, implementation selection and governance.
Architecture Does Not Mean Specifying Everything in Maximum Detail
Depth depends on the risk and cost of error. Detailed algorithms, API contracts, database schemas and developer specifications are not automatically included. We avoid documentation for its own sake without leaving critical choices unresolved.
Platform-Independent Thinking
We begin with business needs, not a need to sell a platform or customization.
How Engagements Are Structured
Architecture can be standalone or included in delivery. The client remains free to appoint a different integrator. We may continue as independent transition lead or main contractor.
Indicative Fee
Starting from €7,000 for a defined architecture and roadmap; multi-domain and detailed functional design are quoted separately.
