ERP & Operations Diagnostic
INDEPENDENT BUSINESS AND ERP ASSESSMENT
Before changing the system, understand what actually needs to change.
Business problems are not always software problems. Slow orders, inconsistent information, accounting complexity or limited reporting can be caused by ERP constraints, processes, data quality or organizational decisions. We provide independent diagnostics to clarify underlying causes, risks and rational next actions.
A new ERP will not necessarily solve old problems.
Replacing a platform without understanding causes may reproduce old problems; continued customization of a legacy system may also be uneconomic. We do not assume that a new platform, custom code or another integrator is necessary.
First, establish the problem. Then evaluate the options.
When This Service Is Relevant
You are considering ERP replacement
Limitations are evident, but the investment case is not established.
The business has outgrown its systems
Volumes, sites and reporting needs exceed the original operating model.
Customizations keep accumulating
Maintenance is complex and the value of further development uncertain.
Departments disagree about the problem
IT, finance, manufacturing and operations propose conflicting solutions.
Leadership needs an independent assessment
Uncertainty should be reduced before a major commitment.
What We Examine
01 / Business Processes and Operational Dependencies
Agreed processes, interactions, constraints and continuity needs.
02 / Existing ERP and Systems Landscape
Relevant functionality, customizations, integrations and limitations.
03 / Accounting Models and Management Information
How key operational and financial information is generated and reconciled.
04 / Organizational Factors
Accountability, decisions, involvement and operating arrangements.
05 / Critical Risks and Improvement Options
Material constraints, consequences and practical options.
What You Receive
Problems and likely underlying causes.
Material limits of systems and processes.
Operational, architectural and organizational risks.
Options with advantages, constraints and dependencies.
Recommended direction and decision priorities.
Questions requiring further investigation.
Findings are discussed with leadership. The value is in the decisions enabled, not the length of the report.
Possible Outcomes
Keep the current ERP and improve its use; modernize the environment; prepare replacement; or address organizational and data issues first. The conclusion is not predetermined.
How the Diagnostic Is Organized
We define the management question and agree on processes, systems, access, participants and deliverables. Work may involve interviews, documents, system review and selective scenarios. Full future-state design is outside the base diagnostic.
Indicative Fee
Starting from €4,000 for agreed limited scope; extensive multi-site assessments are quoted separately.
Not Sure Whether You Need a New ERP?
That can be an excellent reason to begin with an independent assessment.
